I knew that I wanted to be a photographer from the first time I developed a print in the soft orange glow of dark room sophomore year of high school. In 2007 I graduated from Illinois State University with a BS in Photography. While at Illinois State I was always drawn to photographing people both in their environment as well as exploring a variety of studio lighting situations.
After college I started working for a studio in Northbrook Illinois. At Pj Photography I learned the procedures as well as the art of photographing weddings and special events. While I see the importance of covering the basic formal shots I place a great deal of emphasis on the photojournalistic side. I love to capture the small moments, looks, laughs, touches, and glances that tell the true story of the day.
I have had the opportunity to photograph a variety of weddings such as Jewish, Greek, Polish, Assyrian, Catholic and Christian weddings. As an artist I am always open to new ideas and collaborations for ways to photograph any occasion. My desire is to create a comfortable and none stressful environment for all my clients on whatever type of occasion I am photographing for them.
My husband Matthew and I met in 2012 and had a mutual passion for photography. He quickly jumped into the wedding photography world with both feet. I love being a husband and wife photography team. We are able to work seamlessly together and provide our own perspectives on capturing each wedding in their own unique way.
